Achitectural Concrete SealersAchitectural Concrete Sealers

Unlike plain conventional concrete, architectural and decorative polymer concrete is nearly always sealed with a clear material. Sealing is done to protect the decorative work, improve cleanability and enhance the appearance.

Our Architectural Sealers Systems

For information on sealer selection or application instructions for any of the following sealer systems, please refer to our Sealer Selection & Application Guide.

APF Acryseal Sealer System
Used as a sealer over a wide variety of surfaces. Fast drying, low cost, easy to use. Excellent adhesion to most cementitious surfaces. Available in gloss or satin. Intensifies colors in decorative substrates. Moderate performance in high foot traffic or vehicle areas. This system will give the concrete a wet look.

Polyurethane 250 Sealer System
Two-component, solvent based primer/sealer for use over all architectural concrete surfaces – especially effective over acid stains. Outstanding adhesion to challenging surfaces including minimally profiled concrete and fully cured polyester-urethanes. Compared to solvent acrylic sealers, gives superior gloss, exterior gloss retention, cleanability and wear resistance. This system will give the concrete a wet look.

Poly 250 / Poly 100 Sealer System
Two-component, solvent based primer with a two-component high solids solvent based aliphatic polyurethane. Suitable for use over all types of architectural concrete surfaces. It provides superior chemical and abrasion resistance. This system has a long track record of success in high traffic commercial applications such as casinos, restaurants and retail establishments. This system will give the concrete a wet look.

Epoxy 200 / Poly 501 Sealer System
Two-component, water-based, epoxy primer with two component high performance water-based polyurethane. Suitable for interior architectural concrete where a water-based low odor coating with superior chemical and abrasion resistance is required. This system will give only slight color enhancement of the concrete.

Epoxy 200 / Poly 500 Sealer System
Two-component, water-based epoxy primer with a two component water-based polyurethane. Suitable for interior architectural concrete where a water based low odor coating with a quick cure and good chemical and abrasion resistance is required. This system will give only slight color enhancement of the concrete.

Epoxy 400 / Poly 100 Sealer System
Two-component 100% solids epoxy primer with a two-component high solids solvent based aliphatic polyurethane. Suitable for interior architectural concrete where a high build chemical and abrasion resistance sealer is required. This system will substantially darken the color of the concrete.

Epoxy 400 / Poly 501 Sealer System
Two-component 100% solids epoxy primer with a two-component high performance water based aliphatic polyurethane. Suitable for interior architectural concrete where a high build chemical and abrasion resistance sealer is required. This system will substantially darken the color of the concrete.

Epoxy 400 / Polyurea 5000 Sealer System
Two-component 100% solids epoxy primer with a two-component high solids aliphatic Polyaspartic Polyurea. Suitable for interior architectural concrete where a high build rapid cure, chemical and abrasion resistance sealer is required. This system will substantially darken the color of the concrete.

Aqua Prime / Poly 500 Sealer System
Single component acrylic primer with a two component water-based polyurethane. Suitable for interior and exterior architectural concrete where a water-based low odor coating with a quick cure and good chemical and abrasion resistance is required. This system will give no color enhancement of the concrete.

Aqua Prime / Poly 501 Sealer System
Single component acrylic primer with a two component high performance water-based polyurethane. Suitable for interior and exterior architectural concrete where a water-based low odor coating with superior chemical and abrasion resistance is required. This system will give no color enhancement of the concrete.
